Children's Programs (Birth - 5yrs)

The Nursery is for children 0-5 yrs old. An older child may need to be in the Nursery due to special circumstances, and arrangements will be made so that the child is in the best environment for them. Once a child is registered for Kindergarten, they should move to a classroom that will be structured for their age.

Our nursery caregiver is Mrs. Jodi, along with parent volunteers and some youth volunteers.

**At age 3 yrs, children are welcome to join WOW and Sunday learning. Both are described below.

Nursery.J.A.M. (Sundays)

For Sunday worship services and Sunday programming, the Nursery is available 9:30 am-11:40 am.

When intergenerational events are scheduled after worship service, the nursery will not be staffed during the event. All staff and volunteers will be at the event with everyone else.

Nursery J.A.M. (Wednesdays)

During Church worship service and programming, the Nursery is available 6:00pm-7:20 pm.

Children's Programs (5yrs old-5th Grade)

Sunday B.L.A.S.T. (Believe, Learn, And Seek Truth)

Children are invited downstairs with the Childrens Ministry Director and adult volunteers after church service. This is a time when they can learn more about Gods teachings through Science fun, acting out stories, games, and more. Also, just a time to socialize with peers and talk about school and life.

Intergenerational Events:

There is approximately an intergenerational event one Sunday every other month instead of our Open Forum. These events are filled with learning and social interactions of all ages. They are a time to meet new people as a whole family and hang out with good friends.

During multi-generational events, downstairs Sunday learning will not be open. All will join the fun at the multi-generational event.

WOW (Worship on Wednesdays)

WOW: Word on Wednesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 - where kids learn about God in a rotational learning environment.

Activities: story time, Art time, and Games

Each activity helps build on the story and/or lesson.

We have two wonderful WOW co-directors, Lynn and Jean. They have three adult volunteers: Melissa, Diane, and Arren.

Children's Choir

Wednesdays after WOW 6:45 pm-7:00 pm.
Children meet with Bjorn (our choir director) in the choir loft located in the sanctuary. Children sing during Sunday worship service once a month.

Social Hall Activities

Wednesdays 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

We have a group of children with an older sibling who attends Confirmation and/or parents attending a meeting or are a church staff member who is working. To help accommodate these families, children are welcome to join us in the social hall to participate in table activities and games. All adults:parents/guardians who are not working, in a meeting, or attending other church programs. They are asked to participate in the social hall activities, even if it is just another set of ears and eyes, as this program is parent/volunteer-led.

Youth Programs (Middle and High school)

Confirmation

Wednesdays 7 pm-8:30 pm

Christ the King Lutheran Church provides a Confirmation ministry, that includes teaching, service, worship, proclamation, and community building to assist young people and their families in their walk as disciples of Jesus Christ. We strive to provide an inviting and inspiring atmosphere for learning and helping our youth come to Know Christ, Show Christ, and Grow in Christ. We do this by treating peers respectfully and fairly, allowing opinions and feelings to be safely expressed, and listening intentionally to one another while we learn together about the Bible, theology, and the practices of living a Christian life.

CROWD

When the crowd saw what Jesus had done, they were filled with awe, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to human beings. -Matthew 9:8

The CROWD is a group of middle & high school students that pride themselves on building relationships, learning the joys and pains of Christian life, exploring doubt and having fun with one another. We are called to follow Christ, serve others, and be a beacon of love to one another.
